MYB OPENING DAY!

Youth baseball

Opening Day program

Saturday, April 28^th

10:00 – 1:30

                             

We will have Opening Ceremonies immediately following the T-ball games at 10:00. All teams and coaches please have your teams in uniform begin assembling along the outfield fence by 10:15. Line up so that the T-ball teams go first, then AAA, Minors and Majors. We will announce the teams, players and coaches as we move to line up in the infield.

Parents and friends please join us and purchase lunch from our concession stand. All proceeds from the concession stand will be used to maintain the baseball fields, purchase equipment and minimize player registration fees.  Families may also elect to bring their own picnic lunch and throw out a blanket on the grass. 

MYB players and coaches will receive a hot dog, drink & chips (no charge) at the times listed below.

Triple A Players & Coaches – 11:30 – 12:00 (or after your game)

Minor Players & Coaches – 12:00 – 12:30

Major Players & Coaches- 12:30-1:30

MYB Assessments

Date: Saturday March 31

Location: Riley Rink

Time: Ages 7-10 3:00 - 4:30pm

Ages 11-12 4:30 - 6:00pm

There will be no clinic scheduled for this week because of assessments, it will resume on Saturday April 7th.

T-ball kids age 5 & 6 are from 3:00 - 4:00 and kids age 7 - 12 are from 4:00 - 6:00.

2012 Manchester Youth Baseball Registration

Manchester Youth Baseball is looking forward to the beginning of another great baseball season! Registration will be held at the Manchester Elementary Middle School (MEMS) cafeteria on Monday and Tuesday, 3/12 and 3/13, from 3-4:30pm and on Wednesday 3/14, from 6:30-8pm.

This year we’ll also have representatives on hand at Maple Street School on Monday 3/12 from 3-4pm and Dorset School Monday 3/12 from 3-5pm.

MYB offers baseball for boys and girls from kindergarten through the age of 12 and who live in Manchester, Dorset, Winhall, Rupert and Pawlet. Tee-Ball/soft pitch is open to children ages 5-6. AAA is for children ages 7-8. The Minor league is for children 9-10 and Major league for children 11-12. Your child will be placed in the appropriate division based on his or her age on April 30, 2012.

Our season runs from the end of April through mid-June, with practices starting in April as soon as weather allows.

The registration fee for Tee-Ball is $40. The fee for AAA, Minor and Major league play is $45. We offer a family discount for those registering two or more children at $70. Scholarships are available and subject to board approval. Volunteers are vital to our organization and are needed for coaching, concessions and many other duties so please mark the appropriate box on the registration form.

Manchester Youth Baseball Training Camp

For Boys Ages 5 - 12

Hey baseball fans! Are you ready to say good-bye to winter and have you been longing to hear the crack of the bat again? Ah, but winter is famous for its rusty throwing arms and slow bat speed…what to do? Manchester Youth Baseball (MYB) has a solution! This year we are launching a brand new program; the Spring tune-up training camp. It’s a great opportunity to learn/improve skills and also get a jump on the competition!

Join us for (6) two-hour indoor sessions each Saturday beginning March 17th at Riley Rink, right here in Manchester . We will have several skills stations set up in various age groups with coaches to help you get the best pre-season training around. The camp is for all boys and girls ages 7-12. Bring your glove, water and sneakers, cleats are not allowed. The dates are March 17, 24, 31 and April 7, 14, 21, from 4-6pm and the cost is $20 for all six sessions, what a bargain! The March 31st session will be used for player assessments.


The dates for T-Ball kids ages 5-6 years old are March 17, 24, April 7, 14, and 21 and the (5) sessions are set for 4:00-5:00 pm. To introduce your child to our program and the great sport of baseball we have made the camp complimentary. Take advantage of this great opportunity!
